Bonnie over at My Bottom Smarts is organizing a sort of appreciation day for all of our silent visitors today. This will be my first year participating as I've only had a blog for about a year but I thought it was good to do considering I had been a lurker - or silent visitor if you prefer - for a very long time before to coming out.
Today, all I want to say is you are welcome, always, whether or not you comment. I think coming out about a kink like this is difficult - I know it was for me - but just knowing it yourself and accepting it are huge. So whatever step of the game you are at, welcome.
I know many have heard my story before but I'll just share a bit for new visitors. I came out about my spanking fetish in December of 2012. It took me ages and here's a more detailed post on that if you'd like to read it. I can tell you, this past year my life has changed so much. I've made some wonderful, truly amazing - as in the full sense of the word amazing - friends. I've connected with strangers, people I've never met in person, and shared parts of myself I never thought I would or could. Natasha Knight is a pen name but I feel she's as real as the 'real life' me and truly, through Natasha I found I liked myself a whole lot more.
If you weren't aware, I am a rambler so I'm going to stop now…welcome to my blog, have a look around, comment if you like - I'd love to meet you. If that's too much but you'd like to connect, just go to my contact page and e-mail me.
Oh and one other thing - if you haven't visited Bonnie's blog yet, go. Go now! It's like a directory of spanking everything. And she's pretty awesome.
Happy LoL Day!

I feel like we should have balloons and party music! Thanks Mr. BBSpanker!! Happy LoL Day!!
DeleteLoved your post as a rambler myself I had to smile. I am a recent lurker of your blog but have read your comments on other blogs over the last year. You sound very similar to me except I'm. to quite as brave to come totally out of the closet. I am one foot in one foot out at the moment. I recently read your book Aching to Submit while flying home from visiting family in Europe. It is probably my favorite book in this genera because I could relate to so many aspects of the story. I loved it so much I bought the book for a friend who read it with her husband and her husband emailed me saying sounded like a braver me. I look forward to reading your other books. Thank you for your writing.

You just totally made me tear up! I'm completely over sensitive - I will admit that. It's ok - the being one foot in and one foot out. I think it comes with time. If you ever want to chat more, feel free to e-mail me. You can find my address on the contact page here.
DeleteAs for Aching To Submit, so much of that book was an autobiography. My husband's middle name is even Michael - funny enough, I hadn't intended it, someone pointed it out to me. It was very difficult to write as it was all happening while I was writing it and it was just a heavy, heavy time. My husband doesn't read most of my books but he opted to read that one when things sort of came to a head for us here (I hate that saying by the way, I just think of a zit).
Anyhow, I'm so happy to hear from you and if my writing helps, it's the best compliment anyone can give. You've put a huge smile on my face. Thank you.
Happy first LOL Day Natasha! I have only recently discovered your blog and am so glad I did :)

Thank you! Happy LOL Day to you!
DeleteThat was a really thoughtful LOL post. I love the sensitive soul that you are. It's so nice to hear more of your story and know that so many others are going through the same thing or have at one time...myself included. We all have slight variations of how we came to TTWD, but it seems like so many of us go through the same things. <3
ReplyDeleteThanks Corinne, you always have such a nice way of saying things.
DeleteLove you.
Not sure if I have commented before so hello and happy LOL day!

:) I know you're a rambler. It's one of the things I love about you!
DeleteRambling? What's wrong with rambling? I see nothing wrong with rambling ... just let the thoughts fall where they may. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy LOL Day!
There is absolutely nothing wrong with rambling. Some of my best stuff comes from rambling...
