Good morning Saturday Spankers! Today I'm sharing a piece from an older work, Claimed by the Beast, which follows Taken by the Beast (although both are stand alone books). I've noticed since I started writing how I've evolved to appreciating the disciplinary spanking scenes much more than the erotic ones. When I first started, I had this idea that I couldn't do that, couldn't punish a grown woman with a spanking (I know, weird, right?). It was this taboo fantasy or something, that 'you shouldn't want that' thinking. I've moved on though...as you likely know if you read my books! This scene is one between Elijah and Kayla. They've just discussed what happened and it's time for Kayla to take her spanking!

“Stand up,” he said, sounding
like a disciplinarian, reaching for the buckle on his belt.
Her heartbeat picked up and her
belly felt tight.
“Up, Kayla.”
She slowly rose to her feet as
he pulled the belt out of its loops and doubled it over in his hand, gripping
the buckle in his palm.
“Bend over the arm of the couch,
pants and panties down.”
“Do you have to?” she asked,
knowing the answer.
“Do you think I shouldn’t?” he replied, raising his eyebrows. There was no humor in his expression.

Of course he has to, where would be the fun in it if he didn't? Although belts are mean and nasty things, so I suspect she's dreadfully naughty... ;) Beautiful snippet.

ReplyDeleteAs we grow as authors and grow into our chosen genre, I think we all evolve. Funny the things that had seemed so taboo in the beginning, become almost commonplace.
