Today I wanted to share a piece from Aching To Submit from Michael's point of view. This is a small snippet the morning after her first spanking - to which he reacted differently than he expected…

But he still couldn’t wrap his brain around that one word: sadist.

One of my favourite things about Aching to Submit is how you seem to get every emotion spot on. Michael spent his life learning one mode of behaviour and then, in order to satisfy Sophie's deep desires he spanks her and to his horror gets a kick out of it. Guilt and confusion are totally natural. There is beautiful empathy in that snip
Accepting one's desires is not an easy process!
Coming to terms with those innate desires can be daunting. Me thinks he'll realize that everything in moderation (wink, wink) is not a bad thing.
I haven't read it all of course, but he doesn't seem like a sadist to me. When your wife ask to be spanked, and he happens to enjoy doing it mutualism - everyone is helped.
I think to some level, all Doms and HOH's must think of this at least once. Or maybe it's the ones new to it. Either way, I'm glad Michael was into it!

I don't even think sadism is a bad thing - depending on your partner - and in this case, she wants it so you're right. It's a win win situation...
I loved the SNIPPET (yes I still yell SNIPPET -- no one knows why I do this, or how long it will be 'til I stop, but there are angry villagers with torches outside my door right now and rumors of a petition at change dot org, "Make Savill Stop Typing Snippet In All Caps!" that's already garnered upwards of 100 signatures) and I also loved Tara's review!

Nice snippet. Knowing he's worried about being a sadist will probably keep him focused on just how hard he spanks her. Hard enough to drive his point home but not hard enough to really cause any physical damage. Nice!
