Last week's blog hop was like SatSpanks on steroids! This week, we're back to eight little sentences. These are sweet ones from Claimed by the Beast. In this scene, Marcus and Rachel have just been reunited after a full year apart. Marcus plans on picking up where they left off, but Rachel is hesitant, unsure she can survive if he leaves her again...
Her eyes were closed when he
returned, but he knew from how she was breathing she hadn’t fallen asleep just

He stripped off his jeans and climbed into bed, noting how she slept as
far from his side as possible with her back to him.

Marcus settled into the bed, turned toward her and, draping one arm across her
waist, pulled her to him.
