#SatSpanks Captive's Desire

Captive's Desire was probably one of my favorite stories to write. I don't know why that is, but when two characters just really click, it's completely amazing. Livvie and Hayden totally clicked right from the start. 

Today I wanted to just share a cute, fun scene. Captive's Desire is set in the future where Livvie has been living in a domed city all her life. As far as she knows, the people outside of the city are savages and she's been trained as a soldier to fight them. 

Hayden is one of those 'savages' and takes her back to the settlement when her plane is downed. In the scene below, Livvie meets Jenna who is heavily pregnant. She imagines the growth in her belly must be some sort of side effect of the poison she's been told all her life is in the outside air. This is the conversation just after Jenna leaves when Hayden gets home:

“She’s pregnant,” Hayden said to Livvie.

“Pregnant?”

“Yes, as in she’s going to have a baby. We do it the old-fashioned way here: a man and a woman, family, love.”

“I understand, I’m not stupid,” she said, although she was confused. At Magnus, women weren’t pregnant, the babies were incubated at special labs. Her sister was one of the lucky ones chosen to donate her eggs. Livvie wrinkled her face at the thought of her sister looking like Jenna did, her belly protruding like that. It was almost obscene.

“You’ve never seen a pregnant woman, have you?”

“No.”

“Well, there are a couple of others in the camp, so I’d try not to make that face if I were you.”

“Thanks for the advice.”
