Shame #satspanks

I must have been feeling emotional when I chose this week's snippet for Saturday Spankings! It's from Aching to Submit where Michael is trying to get Sophie to talk to him, to open up to him about what is going on in her head but shame keeps her mute...

* * * *

I just need more time with the move; everything is so different here and youre gone so much.

His expression changed, guilt twisting his mouth, but he had nothing to feel guilty about.

She put her hand on his arm and slid a little closer, tucking herself into him, I understand about work and Im not blaming you, just give me some time, okay?

Michael hugged her tighter to his body.

I love you, baby, whatever it is, I dont care, well figure it out, work through it. You know that, right?

She nodded, somehow able to form her mouth into a smile even as the crying began anew while he held her, just rocking her, keeping her face buried in his chest, cradling the back of her head. She trusted him completely, didnt she? She could tell him anything; just not this.

Ah, I love it when you get to see the 'tender' or 'caring' side of a man. Deliciously sensual and may I say, that cover is gorgeous... love her blindfold!

Hi Natasha, I loved this book and this scene. The tenderness and intimacy between them.

Patience, love, tenderness... Nice

I agree Enticingly intimate. You understand her struggle. He is so understanding you want her to trust, but understand her reticence.

I love the tenderness between them - you feel yourself there with them, like a fly on the wall.

You do know that this is my favourite of all your books, right? I love Sophie and Michael and I love the realism of the relationship. It's one of those books that just move you, hit you on a deep level. Nice to see it make an appearance.
