I used to read it in secret (read stalker) and then when I finally came out and my husband spanked me for the first time, we both thought 'holy hell, spanking is loud!' It is loud - and if you have kids, you don't want loud!!
So what did I do? I got up the courage to e-mail Jane from the Chintz Curtain. She was the only person I thought to talk to. So I wrote her an e-mail that went something like 'Dear Jane, my husband and I just started spanking and it's really loud. Can you recommend for me something we can use that is quiet? Please don't laugh.' Yes, I had that last sentence in there and it makes me giggle now. I was alway so embarrassed and nervous.
So Jane was so so super sweet! She e-mailed me and we chatted and turned out we needed to keep hand spanking as we were new and it would be a good way to figure out what the heck we were doing. Since then, Jane and I have talked quite a bit - sometimes over martinis - those are always nice. She's someone I trust and I trusted right away which I always find interesting. It's like those people whom you do trust right away are the ones that stay with you. I love her, I find her funny and clever and just a good person. And she's an awesome writer and photographer so head over and check her out and say hi. Tell her I sent you and she might have a martini to spare... :) Just click here

Ooh, I'm going to go check this blog out now.
She sounds great!
It's awesome that you had someone to walk with you through some of this.
:)
Great post!
How great that you were able to reach out to someone who could help.
Isn't it wonderful how kind and helpful people from thousands of miles away, connected through wire with nothing but generosity of spirit as their motivator can be.
Nice story, Natasha. I have visited that site on a number of occasions, but as a lurker.
How great! I'll have to check out that blog too.
I can trust my friends. These people force me to examine, encourage me to grow

That's AWESOME! apparently my hubby and I need a lesson in how to not make noise:) Our 16 year old daughter told us at dinner the other night that she has to get up and turn a floor fan on at night so she can't hear what's goin on downstairs, in the master BR, with the door closed. REALLY? I can't even begin to express how mortified I was. So, I will be stoppin' by "Behind the Chintz Curtain" Thanks for sharing:)))
