Excerpt

“You had your pa wrapped around your little finger growing up, I’ll bet,” Heath murmured as his hands went to her waist and released the top button of her pants. “You’ll find I’m not so easily fooled.”

Taken aback, she stared at his face, which was now very determined. How had he known? While she attempted to make sense of what was happening, he had the last button undone and began tugging down her pants. Snapped out of her stupefaction, her hands went to his as she shook her head vehemently.

“Heath, you can’t.”

“You know than I can, Jenny. It behooves you to cooperate. Fight me on this and you’ll likely be jumping from the frying pan into the fire. You’re getting spanked.” He tugged and the denim slipped down an inch, but she yanked it back up.

His brows gathered in a fierce frown, but his voice remained steady. “Move your hands. These jeans are coming down so you feel every swat.”

“No, you don’t understand,” she whispered, thoroughly mortified.

He tilted his head, suddenly curious. “What don’t I understand, darlin’?”

She closed her eyes, having no other option but to admit her shame. “I’m not wearing any drawers underneath.”
