Her stomach did a little flip as he drove them to his house. She assumed he still had every intention of spanking her, and she was on board. But now she was kind of hoping for even more and what if a spanking made it so that she couldn’t enjoy anything afterward? Just how much pain would she be in when all was said and done?

Brandon’s house was much smaller than her grandparents’, and it was rather comfortable. After he got them each a glass of wine, he sat down on the sofa and pulled her down next to him. “You don’t have to be afraid of me,” he said into her ear. “I won’t do anything you don’t want.”

Giggling nervously, because she hadn’t realized how much she was emitting her worried state, she snuggled into his warm arms. “I want everything.” Realizing how blunt that sounded, she winced and looked up into his gray eyes.

“You want an erotic spanking and sex?” he asked, speaking the words she didn’t think she could say.

“Yes.” The thought of being in his arms and having sex made her blood boil. It had been too long since she had been with a man and somehow she knew Brandon would make things good.

“All right.” He removed the wine from her hands and put both glasses on the coffee table. “We can have that later. Come with me.” Standing up, he took her hand and pulled her to her feet. She trailed along after him into his bedroom. The walls were clear except for a picture of him in his dress uniform with two people flanking him that she assumed were his parents. The room itself was taken up with a huge bed and her eyes snapped onto it.

She actually had very little as she was in too much of a hurry to bring everything with her, and there was now a very full storage space several thousand miles away filled with items she now realized would be useful. Especially in a house this size.

Thankfully, she had brought everything from her old kitchen, so after surveying the new one, she figured out where the best places to put everything would be and set about making it into a more workable space. Three hours spent first cleaning it and then unpacking left her sweaty and realizing it was now early afternoon. “If I don’t get down to Denver now, I might not be able to,” she whispered, annoyed. Going into the pantry, she made a much longer list than she had the day before and headed out to her truck. She was glad she had a garage, as at least she would not have to clear her truck off when it snowed. That had always been a pain.

Deciding she could get much of what she needed at a warehouse store, she went there first and packed the back of her truck with copious amounts of food. Maybe if she was lucky, she would be set for winter. Then she went to a grocery store and picked up things she did not need in huge amounts. By the time she exited the store, light gray clouds were building over the mountains and the breeze carried along a crisp coolness.

Snow was most definitely coming.

She was halfway home by the time it began to snow, and it fell hard and fast, whipped up by a strong wind. It did not take long before she cut her speed in half because it was getting difficult to see. There were snow tires on her truck, but even then she occasionally felt it slip and slide, which made her hands grip the wheel tighter and tighter.

Unfortunately her hill was a bit steeper than the mountain she had just driven up and she knew the moment she turned into her long, steep drive that her truck was not going to make it. “Shit,” she hissed as her wheels began to spin and she felt the truck begin to slide backward. She was halfway up the incline and at this rate, by the time she reached the bottom, she would be going very fast and would be likely to shoot past the road and over the cliff on the other side. “Shit! Shit! Shit!” she cried louder as training kicked in and she yanked the wheel to the left. Immediately her truck fishtailed and turned, her head slamming into her headrest as she hit a tree.

Her last thought before she went unconscious was that the universe had a sick sense of humor.

A community of spankos? What was she thinking?

If you aren’t a spanko or have no interest in domestic discipline, those questions might just be uppermost in your mind. But as someone who is a spanko in their daily life and truly believes in the tenets of domestic discipline, the idea for Corbin’s Bend is a hopeful one. I didn’t start off writing the series thinking “Oh, I’m going to create this wonderful spanking community…” My writing never works like that. Instead, my fingers hit the keys and Corbin’s Bend, Colorado took shape right in front of my eyes.

Now, I could have just written the series myself, released maybe one a year, but even if an author tries to be ‘different’, when they are writing a series, the books will all start sounding the same. I didn’t want that. Instead, I thought of the community and that it takes all kinds and all sorts of personalities to create that feeling. So, what did I do? I opened up Corbin’s Bend to other authors.

And what a plethora of stories that we have coming for you! My novella, Finding Their Bliss, came out on May 7th. The first in the Corbin’s Bend erotic spanking romance series, Finding Their Bliss tells the tale of Brent Carmichael and Charmagne Kendle, two people brought together through unique circumstances and yet their passion and love for each other was not able to be denied. Neither fear nor jealous ex-fiance’s would get between these two. My novella Where They Both Belong came out this month. It’s a prequel to Corbin’s Bend, showing the first days of the community from one of the first residents.

Many people read spanking books for the eroticism behind it. But I also love the discipline side, the side that isn't about getting you hot, but about equalizing the relationship, calming the 'spankee' down, and about the two (or more) people strengthening their relationship.

In this snippet, Logan's mom Kimberly talks to Christian a little more about domestic discipline.

“…neither Greg nor I actually like the term punishment. Because discipline actually makes more sense. He does not spank me, or make me write lines, or make me go buy something because I was bad – he does it to help me release the anger, guilt, and other negative emotions I am usually holding inside. He does it for us because he loves me.

“I know. I’ve been there. And only you two can decide what works for you.” She offered him a warm smile. “It works perfectly for Greg and me, but at the beginning? I wasn’t so sure.”

He snorted a laugh. “Sore bottom?”

“Dreadfully. Plus, that putting-myself-first rule was troublesome.”

“Why?”

“Just wait until you have children. You want to put them first. I mouthed off to Greg so many times when I would let something else drop because I thought I should put Logan’s needs ahead of my own. Not his basic needs,” she assured Christian. “But thing like… Greg wanted me to finish my education and get the career I wanted. I felt that putting school ahead of my child was wrong and did not sign up for classes. We talked a lot about it but finally he put his foot down, as well as his hand,” she added wryly, making Christian chuckle.

“It took me a while to figure out what he was talking about. But I think one of the reasons Logan has no trouble going for his goals is because he saw me do it. Not once has Logan ever felt as though he was put to the side, because both Greg and I love him to bits and would do anything for him, and he knows it.”
