His Rebellious Queen #Newrelease #Spanking Romance by Casey McKay

I have Casey McKay here today with her brand new and very first sci-fi spanking romance! I love sci-fi, it's one of my favorite genres to read and write, and His Rebellious Queen was a hot read with a really great plot, characters whom you loved but wanted to slap across the head at times, spankings and sex, lots of it, and the typical McKay humor tossed in that just makes you chuckle at random (and mostly inappropriate) moments. Here's Casey!

Hi Natasha! Thanks for having me over today to talk about my new release. I had a lot of fun writing my first sci fi romance. Writing romance in general is fun. Coming up with new and interesting characters, sexy men and sassy women, and I get to give them all the happy endings they deserve. What's not to love? But writing regular humans in romance novels you are still stuck in the confines of the regular human world.

I mean how many times have you thought life would be so much easier if your husband could just read your mind? I know I've thought it. Instead of having to explain myself it would be so nice if he just already knew. Of course he can't and he often likes to tell me he isn't a mind reader. So when I was writing this sci fi novel I was trying to think about what would make a Cassian so different from a regular human. I decided it would make Astor all that more delicious if he could read Lyra's mind.

Astor is a Cassian and Lyra is a human, but they discover that they have this telepathic link between them. Not all Cassian's have this skill, but Astor is skilled in more ways than one.

He's so in tune with Lyra that he knows what she'll respond to before she even does. (That has to be the ultimate perk, no more frantic directions in bed? “A little to the left, harder, harder—Oh my god, don't stop!”)

But of course there are drawbacks too. Think about it, he can read her mind! I don't think I would like that after all...

Here is an excerpt where Astor and Lyra first discover they have this telepathic link. And Astor is very much using it to his advantage. They've had an argument and he caught Lyra trying to help a revolutionary escape.

"Your body is mine to do with as I please," he reminded her, she could hear the anger and disappointment in his tone. But unlike other times, she did not feel it, she could not process anything but his fingers that trespassed into every part of her. He pinned her in his gaze, thrusting deeper into her pussy and pushing further into her back entrance.
She screwed her eyes shut and whimpered. He had shown her before that he demanded obedience, when he had discovered her in the hallway with Rand she feared he would spank her, whip her, lock her in their rooms, she never imagined this. He was punishing her in the most carnal of ways, she would have rather had the corporal punishment.
"I have not completely ruled that out," he said, as if responding to her thoughts.
Her eyes shot open and she looked at him in shock, had he just read her thoughts? He looked just as surprised as she, perhaps just realizing that she hadn't spoken aloud at all, yet he had heard her.
Bastard, she thought, ridding her mind of any other thought, she projected it into her mind.
He let out a deep chuckle, but it frightened her because it was a humorless laugh. "That is what you decided on? We discover a telepathic link and you dare call me names?" He arched a brow at her and angled his body closer as she seemed to have achieved in putting some distance between them. He hooked his leg under her top leg, pulling their bodies together and burying his digits deeper within her.
"Ah!" she yelled out, as he buried himself up to his knuckle, stretching her rosebud further.
Behave, she heard him say. His voice was crisp and clear and she could note the stern warning tone, but her eyes had never moved from his face and he had not opened his mouth. He raised his eyebrows as if daring her to disobey. Goosebumps rose on her skin as she realized not only could he hear her thoughts, but she could hear his. What did this mean?
As she was trying to process this, his thumb tapped her clit and he wiggled his fingers inside of her. "Please!" she called out, frenzied by his treatment of her.
"Please stop or please more?" he asked, with a knowing look.

Blurb for His Rebellious Queen
Lyra didn't expect her arranged marriage to be easy. But she also didn't think it was going to be so hard. Moving to a distant planet to become queen was one thing. Learning to take orders from her Alpha, warrior husband was quite another.

Astor knew from the moment he was appointed king there would be no other woman for him. Fulfilling a promise from his past to protect and keep her safe, he claims Lyra as his wife and queen. When she routinely skirts the rules and defies his orders, he realizes he will need to take his feisty wife in hand in the way the Cassians have done for centuries.

But when a plot for revolution follows the new queen and the secrets they're both keeping become exposed, will Astor be able to convince his rebellious queen that they are on the same side or will Lyra's trust come too little too late?

His Rebellious Queen is a sci fi romance about love, trust, and starting over.

The Commander's Daughter by Morganna Williams

I have Morganna Williams here today sharing an excerpt from The Commander's Daughter, her latest release! It's kind of a naughty one...maybe don't read this at work? :)

The scene opens after a punishment for wandering off in the woods alone. Liam spanked his naughty little mate then made her wear a butt plug under her jeans during breakfast, though left her totally topless.

Melody is having a hard time concentrating on her food as her hot and full bottom now have her thinking of other activities...

* * * *
Liam bit back a smile as he watched Melody fighting not to squirm as she sat on the stool at the island watching him make their breakfast.
She was trying so hard to please him and she did. Melody pleased him more than words could express with her sweet submission. She had taken a very hard punishment with very little complaint and was doing her best to sit still on what he knew was a very sore and plugged ass.
If she managed to sit without too much fidgeting through breakfast, he would take her back to bed and remove the plug before making her body sing with pleasure. If not, the plug would stay where it was for the near future.
He enjoyed watching her bare breasts as she sat at the counter in only her tight jeans. As he watched, her little nipples began to tighten into hard little berries and he realized her effort not to squirm wasn’t just because of a sore rear.
His little mate was aroused.

* * *

Melody drank her orange juice and tried to enjoy her bacon and eggs, but all she wanted to do was shift in the chair. No longer was she wanting to avoid the jolt each movement sent through the plug; now she was fighting not to grind against the pressure as the discomfort had shifted into pleasure sometime in the last hour.
While the punishment had been painful and embarrassing, it had also been arousing to submit so completely to Liam’s authority.
Now she wanted him to take her; no, she needed him to take her.
“You’re being such a good girl. Are you finished with your breakfast?” Liam asked.
“Yes, sir.”
“Come with me and I’ll take that plug out of your naughty bottom and fill it with something else,” he said, holding his hand out to her.
Melody went to him eagerly, taking his hand and following him up the stairs. Once in their bedroom he made short work of pulling her free of the jeans; encouraging her to bend over once again, he gently removed the plug.
He patted her upturned bottom and told her to stay in position. She heard him moving around and the rustle of clothing, then turned when he called her.
Liam was standing naked next to a big round ball with what looked like a long dildo attached. It resembled an exercise ball, but was much larger, too large for her to mount if that was his intention.

“It’s a Spurilian sex ball; they are in the pleasure quadrant of the Ramelian star system. I purchased it before we left for the cabin,” he explained, moving the ball to rest at the edge of the bed as she watched dubiously. She gasped when he lifted her in his arms and lowered her over the dildo, moaning as he impaled her on its length. Melody braced herself with her hands on the foot of the bed as she found herself straddling the ball with her feet dangling above the floor.

Vulnerable Heroes: Guest Post by Cara Bristol

When Cara Bristol releases a book, I usually don't bother to read the blurb and just click that 'buy now with one click' button on Amazon. Amazon is clever with that little button... I read Breeder, the first book in this series, when it first came out and loved it. I then read Terran and oh wow, can I just say that? And this post kind of describes one of the reasons for it: Marlix is a vulnerable hero. He is this Alpha - and I mean Alpha - who sees nothing wrong in simply taking what he wants - literally picking up our heroine, tossing her over his shoulder and taking her home with him- absolutely not expecting what would come.

I won't write up my full review here but I highly recommend this book as well as Breeder. I don't believe it's necessary to read them in order but I loved them both. But first, here's Cara...

* * * *

Even Superman, the man of steel, had his kryptonite. For Marlix, one of only five rulers on his planet, it’s a pink-haired spitfire from Earth.

A touch of vulnerability takes a powerful, macho romance hero and makes him real, makes him relatable. This vulnerability can be a physical trait such as an old injury that hampers him, a past hurt, a soft spot for another person, or a character flaw that can be preyed upon by the villain.

Even courage can make a man vulnerable—by making him take risks that put him into harm’s way.
Terran, book two of the Breeder Sci-fi romance series, is set on a male-dominated, misogynistic alien planet. The hero’s belief in his primacy begin to erode when he falls in love with a Terran female and realizes that all is not as his culture has taught him. Athough Marlix is a fierce, powerful warrior and ruler, his position and his attitude have, to some degree, shielded him from reality. But his curiosity, bafflement with Terran ways, and even his sexism imbue him with an innocence that softens his dominance—and makes him vulnerable.

He inspected the vendoress’s chest again. Given the breast-baring construction of the beige shifts breeders wore, female mammary glands held few secrets. But the fact that this vendoress had hidden hers aroused his curiosity. Did she have round breasts or conical ones? Long, thick nipples or small ones?
“Hey, buddy. My eyes are up here!” She snapped her fingers in front of her face.
Marlix frowned in confusion. “I am aware of the location of your eyes. Besides your pink hair, I noticed them right away. Tell me, are all females on your planet similarly hued?”
“You don’t get out much, do you?” She planted her hands on her hips. The motion drew his attention to her mammary glands again.
“I am out now,” Marlix answered in all honesty but got the impression he’d annoyed her again when she tsked.
“I’ll get the rest of your order.” She stomped away, muttering something about a pig. She disappeared behind a curtained entrance.
“What is a pig?” Marlix consulted with Urazi.

Throughout the novel, Marlix is baffled by the things Tara does and says. He has no idea that Terran females expect to consulted before one makes a decision for them. But his intentions are good.
This Terran excerpt is from one of my favorite scenes:

Marlix extracted a thin blanket from his pack and spread it over the ground, then presented lunch—small slabs of meat held between two slices of panna. Sandwiches. A couple of pomes. And a clear flask of something that could be…beer? The big baboon had packed a picnic lunch.
Naked, Marlix sat cross-legged on the blanket and patted the ground. “Sit,” he said. “Are you hungry?”
Her insides melted into something gooey and soft. “Famished,” she said, not trusting herself to utter more than a single word. She armored herself by dressing first and then sat where he’d pointed. He handed her a sandwich and a flask.
“I had this the other night at an alerina. It is good. Try it.”
“Thank you,” she said, and took a sip. As she’d guessed. Beer. She eyed the food, the blanket, the beauty of the secluded beach, and then the man beside her. Her mouth dried. “This is almost like a date,” she joked.
“A date?” Marlix raised his eyebrows.
She sighed. Really, he should have attended more briefings. “In the olden days on Terra, when a man liked a woman in a romantic or sexual way or both, he asked her to go someplace with him so they could talk and learn about each other. Often they shared food together.”
“Oh.” He bit into his sandwich and chewed. After swallowing, he said, “This would be a date, then.”
She grabbed her flask and gulped down a mouthful of beer. In what galaxy did kidnapping equate with courtship?

What traits do you like to see in a male hero? Do you like a touch of vulnerability with dominance?

Terran Blurb
After fleeing heartache on Terra, Tara Diehl has adjusted to male-dominated Parseon better than most vendors until she is kidnapped by Alpha Marlix, a ruling commander. At first her tall, muscled abductor terrifies her, especially when he doesn’t hesitate to quell her struggle for freedom with some force. When her attempts to escape fail, she decides to seduce her way to freedom.
But out of seduction and subterfuge grow a true intimacy that cause Marlix and Tara to take action that drives Parseon to the brink of civil war, threatening not only their relationship, but also their lives.
Terran, the second book in the Breeder sci-fi series, is a “capture” romance involving a domineering but hunky alien, a female with a bad dye job and an even worse attitude, hot sex, and spanking.

Cari Silverwood Book Tour - Intimidator Book 2: Preyfinders

Cari Silverwood is here today to talk about her newest release, Intimidator Book 2: Preyfinders
* * * *
There’s a freedom in writing a scifi or fantasy story that you can’t get anywhere else. Imagination is King but if you go too far you’ll have readers scratching their heads over the barrage of weird alien language and critters with sixteen legs. A bit like trying to figure out whose hand is where in a ménage, only far worse.
I kept that in mind while writing Intimidator. I wanted a story you could immerse yourself in without too much excess over the top stuff. Crap-tech I think I’ll christen this sort of too sciency stuff that can be dumped on you in a story.
This is a story for those who like to stretch their imagination but don’t want to give it a hernia.
So here is what you will get.
STOM - My sexy alien man who IS very human and who has a heart that melts a little and goes thud thud when he sees his woman/ bond mate, Willow. He’s got a stripy chest too. Lick
NO TENTACLE SEX. Or tentacles on my man. I decided, strangely, that the calamari could wait for another book.
ROMANCE but with a big helping of alpha male.
CAPTURE FANTASY. But sweet capture fantasy, in other words, it’s all sexy and delicious and Willow has a hard time not swooning when Stom walks in. Except for when she’s scowling at him, or shooting him.
KINKINESS. Sigh. I have a hard time not including kink in my stories so my alphas are, minimum, always keen on the dominance thing. Stom has a fling with using a collar and leash on Willow but he’s more growly beast type and not into S and m apart from threatening a spanking here and there. I don’t think he ever followed through. Where did I go wrong?
Scifi ACTION. Yep, I’m a Joss Whedon/ Firefly/ Star Wars fan, and love adding a few fight and battle scenes. Even if my women do the swoony ‘please take me’ thing with their men, they’re not afraid of wielding sword, Glock, flame, or claws. The men are warriors and armed to the teeth, of course.
As a result of the above expect a modicum of GORE and a smidge of HORROR too. But it’s only there to make you worry. Which is good, right?
This is a series called Preyfinders – I hope to do four books all up, including Precious Sacrifice, the Book 1 novella that’s out in the Kept anthology.  So strap on your holsters, unrack those spiky alien rifles with little buttons and shit, hang onto the nearest alien hunk (uh-uh, no nibbling on him), and RUN.

If we leave you behind the factory queen (think huge monster insect beast thing) gets to play with you and she likes brains...and YouTube, she has a thing for that too.

Excerpt
She stood. Anger tore her up. The next words blurted out before she could stop herself. “Fuck you.”
Ally might be wondering why she was out here. Forget this asshole.
“Wait. Willow.” He shot upright and grabbed her hands then added in his rumbly voice that shivered deep inside her, “You need to believe me.”
When she tugged and tugged, and couldn’t get free, her anger, stupidly, drained away.
He stared down at her like he could drive his words into her very soul. “Believe. You must believe me. Run away, fast. Go tomorrow.”
She swallowed, petrified, but not of him holding her. The fear was of what he meant, of how he was distorting her reality. Somewhere in what he said, she sensed truth and a world of horrendous and incalculable wrongness.
“I can’t.” Her words sounded so squeaky. “I have Ally. She needs me.” Tears wet her eyelids and she trembled. “I can’t leave.”
It would take her weeks to convince Ally. Months to sell the house. She had no spare cash, nowhere else to go, and why was she even contemplating all this?
Then he leaned in and kissed her. He wrapped his big solid, man-heavy arms around her, fairly crushing her to him, and kissed.
A shudder of lust slammed into her every cell. A volcanic explosion might, barely, have had the same effect. She opened her mouth and found he was already taking advantage of that small concession – nipping, licking and pushing his tongue inward past her lips. His wide thigh had somehow nudged her legs apart. His male scent assaulted her as much as the feel of him taking of her what he wanted.
Goose bumps swept across her skin in a chill wave that seemed to sensitize every tiny hair on her body.
